I grew up poor and I made many bad decisions. When I was in my 20's, I experienced homelessness myself, personally. I ended up spending quite a bit of time living in my car in downtown Seattle, Wa. I used drugs, spent time with some very disturbing people, and had a bad life. Unlike many, I was able to change my life and become successful. Without family and Jesus, this would never have been possible. Now, I spend a good part of my life trying to help others. I am still tough, still the same guy, but the bad habits are gone and replaced with a strong love for what matters in life. I spent last summer in Sarasota, Florida and about 15 of those days last summer I donated my time as a volunteer at a day center for the homeless in Sarasota, called Resurrection House. Seeing what they deal with each day, their struggles, the hell that many of their lives are, gave me a huge desire to focus a lot of my assistance on the homeless. I am going to go down there with my friend Zane from this very website, and do some good. I want to buy big bags of hot food, bottles of water, and bring a big wad of cash to bless these people with. Life is not about being a selfish piece of crap. Life is about doing things to help others that do not get to enjoy the big house, fancy cars, and luxury vacations. Life is about making people's days better, especially those people that live in hell each day. I have a young daughter that lives with me. It’s just her and I in our house. As a single father I am trying to bring her up the best way I possibly can. She goes to private school now because I want her to get a good education and not end up with woke liberal priorities that will destroy her life and our country. I have noticed you often make very thorough posts about helping others and when I see your posts like that, I always have her read the full post out loud to me to make sure she understands how important it is to do the right thing in life, to perform good deeds and to make a positive impact in the brief time we occupy this great planet we all live in. Although we’ve only spoke on the phone a few times, I feel like I know you and I greatly appreciate what you do. Doing good deeds for others in a way that only benefits them is such a good thing. Very happy to be a part of this community you have built for us.

Just saw your Paypal donation to help the homeless in Spokane. Too bad there are not more caring people out there, both in America and on this website. 

I will, of course, make up the difference with my own money since most members of this website could really care less about doing good for others. No problem Big Lou. I expected a low response. It's not just on the website, it's the low quality of humans currently living in this country right now. It's fine. I will personally continue to do good for others, to honor what I feel is right, and to try my best to make a difference. For those of you that lived your Sunday doing absolutely nothing to help others today... maybe take a look in the mirror. Not to see if you look good but instead to examine what kind of person looks back at you in that mirror. I won't push religion too hard here but maybe a relationship with Jesus, or even a few Joel Osteen videos, could be the start of a better YOU?

Thank you for all that you do to help others. I have to say that I agree with you about people on this particular website, with a few obvious exceptions, really do not seem to care about anyone but themselves. For a website of this size, you would think your posts about helping old ladies, your tribute for Damar, me being the only reply to this beautiful post about doing good for others, this does not make much sense. Does nobody here want to help Monty change people's lives for the better? It is nice that $370 has been raised but that number should have 4 digits. I am not even in the business other than buying up small investment properties so I have no need for email blast advertising myself but I will still go to your Paypal.com right now and send $20 just because I like what you do to make this world a better place.
