Down Payment Assistance Programs???

Is anyone familiar with any Down Payment Assistance Programs for Owner Occupied Single Family Residential purchases?

Years ago there were non-profit organizations that would issue the down payment and closing cost needed for a buyer on the purchase of a owner occupied property, and then the non-profit's account would be re-funded by the seller of the property, along with a fee paid to the non-profit organization for their service.

These made it possible for qualified buyers to purchase a home even if they did not have a huge savings set aside for the down payment.  Are these programs still active?
