Hi Friends!
I am very involved in Cryptocurrency as an investment. I realize this is not a Crypto website but I own this website and I think there are many people on here like myself that invest in Crypto. Let's talk about it! Share your expertise, recommendations, and ask questions.

I have started a BTC trade from an online broker. Unbeknownst to me, and my fault for not vetting them, they will not allow you to withdrawal my earnings unless I pay their 20% commission before I…Continue

Current holdings include Litecoin, Bitcoin, Baby Doge, Shibu Inu, Polkadot. I am always interested in hearing from the Crypto Pros. Looks like there are some in this group. Please let us know what you recommend?
If you're investing in Crypto for the long haul - do your research - many of the coins coming out are pump and dumps that will not last long (or frankly are scams) - they do not have a purpose - read the white papers on each crypto: Who's behind it? What's its purpose? Is there a well-developed road map for the future?
Do NOT invest more than you are willing to lose - do NOT borrow to invest, do NOT use credit cards to invest on a "sure deal" - Crypto is too volatile - during this last crash there were folks literally crying online that they had lost everything, were at risk for divorce for what they had invested, Do NOT depend on celebrity endorsements (though Mark Cuban has done some great research into crypto and written a great article on its potential),.
Diversify - spread your (well-researched) choices through Stable, Alt and your speculative ("to the moon") coins - Slowly build your portfolio and you'll find that you do well when the market zooms and you don't lose as much when it tanks.
No "Whack a Mole" - frenetically buying the latest and greatest coin, then selling at the first sign of a correction (loss), then on to the next, then back to the former, and so on.... it only causes stress and frustration and loss - HODL for the long term, carefully liquidate when the time comes (10% or so at a time)
Avoid Scammers - send your coin, double your coin - in any language, coming from any "trusted source" - it's a scam, it's a scam, it's a scam
Learn how to properly use wallets - keep a binder of your private and keywords and phrases, logins, passwords, websites, apps - clear enough to allow someone having to take over in event of an emergency, the ability to act on your behalf, when you can't (an accident, illness, death) Set up your estate planning to have someone experienced in crypto investments to take over when the time comes and go over your strategies and procedures with them.
I could go on but that's probably enough for this post.
Here's a few tips all..
Coinbase is one of the most expensive exchanges out there, so use Blockchain.com or Binance.
If you want to trade, use blockchain exchange (for beginners) to get the safest cryptos.
As for exchange, there are many companies that take days or even weeks to get your money after investing, make sure you use a reputable company to exchange or even buy large amounts.
Lastly, don't forget that some states charge you fees for BTC gains, so if you're trying to skip those, contact us and we'll exchange it for you (for a fee of course) without the taxes and hassle.
Hello All. This is a great idea for a group! I am new to this type of investment so I am not pretending too know everything at all but based on advice from my brother in law, who has made great money in this type of investing, I now own the following (it's not much):
BTC .072 LTC 2.96 MATIC 138.51
I have been doing research the last few days and plan on purchasing Baby Doge Coin today. It is already up 26% today after going up over 40% yesterday. It looks like this is about to be the next big investment opportunity. I notice that Admin of this website has mentioned it's growth in his post to this group as well. My plan is to purchase a few hundred dollars worth of Baby Doge Coin which should give me billions of Baby Doge Coins. If I just hold onto it for a few years, I feel this could be the next big one. I was already thinking that but knowing Admin has already done so makes me feel strongly about this decision.
Please post here if you are doing the same, or if you have thoughts on this particular new Crypto.
Thanks all. Great group idea to help us all prosper!
Interested in learning. I have zero cryptocurrency at this time but I plan on starting as soon as I gain enough knowledge to feel comfortable. Admin and Streetman, please post anything you feel we need to know. I am excited to learn!
There are lots of ways to invest in cryptocurrency besides buying it and hoping it goes up. I recently published a book called "Cryptocurrency and Real Estate: how to profit as Bitcoin and Blockchain revolutionize real estate investing". It's available on Amazon as an ebook or paperback (just search for my name - steve streetman). I think the synergies between real estate and cryptocurrency are compelling.
how can we help each other?
