I own this website. Just for fun... Here are my thoughts (from someone that has closed more loans than you)

If you are a Mortgage Broker, JUST CALL YOURSELF A BROKER!

If you are "direct to the check writer", why don't you just call yourself a Broker? A Broker is someone that "brokers" a transaction. For those that lie or are embarrassed that they are Brokers, that means that if you do not either write the check, wire the funds personally, or work for a company that writes the check or wires funds, then YOU ARE A BROKER!!!

"Direct to the check writer?" That means that you are not successful enough to write your own check, you weren't able to secure employment working for a real, direct lender, and you are embarrassed to call yourself what you are, a Broker.

Brokers: If you would all just learn the business before you start pretending to broker loans, than you would actually have the expertise and knowledge to do a good, quality job helping people secure funding. At that point you can get paid handsomely for helping others buy properties. If you know what you are doing, Brokers like you would not have such a bad reputation. If all Brokers were honest and knowledgeable, then the word Broker would no longer be dirty.

To those jokers saying that you are "direct to the check writer"... I will start deleting you from this site very soon.

Brokers, learn from a successful Broker. Know the mortgage business and also know the basics of real estate investing so that you can do a good job helping others buy and refinance properties. This will get you paid and give you a good reputation.

Also... This is a professional business website. Is it too much to ask that you be a grown up and post a picture of your own face on here? Nobody wants to see the universal scam picture of the red canyon or a picture of a European castle that you found on Google. Your own face will do just fine and it doesn't matter what you look like, just that it is YOU! I don't post my photo because most know who I am and I need to separate myself as owner so I use the blue shield and call myself Admin. When you own a site that is viewed 1600 times a day then you can do the same thing!

Thank you all for reading this and hopefully laughing at the fake Brokers. Have a great day and do some good business!

Good post. I am a mortgage broker and I love my profession. The harder I work, the more money I make. I set my own hours, choose my lenders, and work with people that I like. I can think of very few professions where I wake up and smile because of my job but being a mortgage broker allows me to do that.

Good website. I appreciate your views and the advice that you offer in your posts.

If you broker your loans, call yourself a mortgage broker. That's what you do. There are hundreds of mortgage brokers across the country making six-figure incomes, probably several that make 7 figures annually. It is a good job. Be proud of it!

Good post. Very True - if you do not have your own funds then you are a BROKER! If you cannot call yourself what you are and just be happy that you provide a valuable service that can help the process, just leave the business and get a 9 to 5 job. Mortgage brokers can be useful but only if the service is provided with integrity. How hard is it to find a real lender? I think that most educated people can tell within a few minutes of conversation and doing an online search whether or not they are dealing with a real lender or a low lever broker or scammer. Do your own due diligence and you will not be taken for your money.
