Hi Christopher. As owner of this website I cannot say who someone should or should not do business with. What I can say is that you should Google him, make sure he has a professional website, and send him a message through his website. If he responds via his website, request a phone conversation. At that point... go with your gut feeling. You can also ask for references. I will say that $1550 is not a large upfront fee but you should find out what that fee is applied to. Upfront fees should be expected, but make sure you know where the money is going (legal, appraisal, title, etc.)
